Sachin Tendulkar

Early life

Tendulkar was born to Ramesh Tendulkar and Rajni on 24 April 1973. His father was a well-known Marathi novelist and a poet and his mother, Rajni, worked in the insurance industry. His father named Tendulkar after his favourite music director, Sachin Dev Burman. He likes tennis and is a fan of the legend John McEnroe. Ajith, Sachin’s brother, introduced him to Ramakant Achrekar, a leading cricket coach in Mumbai to keep Sachin from bullying tendencies. Achrekar was impressed with Tendulkar’s talent.
